Mourinho was Spurs boss between 2019-21 and is now in charge at Fenerbahce, with Tutto Calcio Estero in Italy claiming a return to north London is on the cards. The report states that the "turbulent adventure" of Mourinho in Turkey could make the move possible.

Mourinho's time in charge of Tottenham last time proved unsuccessful, with the club missing out on Champions League qualification in 2019/20 before failing to threaten again in the 2020/21 campaign. He was famously sacked a week before the club's Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, which they lost 1-0.
